I read Caldwell and have a friend who read Caldwell and that is how she learned about Caroline Knapp so she gets to read all of Knapp's books now. (I'm reading Pack of Two).
I am still in the middle of Stuff but your recommendation makes me want to pick it up again.

I've read all of Ehrenreich's books accept this one but this one sounds so chipper!
If I haven't said/written it, Happy new year!

I haven't read any of these but look forward to adding them to my list. I have read some essays of Ehrenreich and really found them thought provoking.

I read Stuff-Compulsive Hoarding & the meaning of things last summer. I found it eye-opening and sad. It has really helped me declutter; I think now think twice before adding another magazine to the pile in the spare bedroom. I am adding Let's Take the Long Way Home to my TBR list. Thanks for posting.
