Garden Tuesday - makeover

Here is a planter with tons of potential that has been sadly neglected. It is in need of a makeover. So for this week's Garden Tuesday, I offer 'before' photos.

Any suggestions?

Is that a day lily? Save that, gosh I am really bad at this. I think you will do a better job! I don't even grow rhubarb very well LOL!

Melynda - Yes, that's a daylily & a very robust one at that. I think it will stay as you suggest. The azaela in the back to the side is probably going to be moved. This will make my husband grumpy as he hates to move plants. Oh well. There's a price to be paid for everything. (:

Thanks for linking up, I couldn't comment yesterday because my blogger ID was messed up. You need to fill it up with perennials so you don't have to worry about it!

I suggest you put in an infinity pool in that spot.

Pam - Yeah, right, wasn't blogger a stinker yesterday? Funny you should mention perenials, my hubs suggested the opposite -- annuals.

Janell - A Barbie-sized infinity pool might work. Maybe a hot tub for Barbs & Ken too.

Something with a little color I think ... black-eyed Susans? Pansies? I'm not a real gardner but I hope to see the After photo with whatever you come up with.

A couple of Dahlia or Gerbera Daisies would look nice there.

Jenners - I've been thinking of pansies. We're having such a weirdly cool spring this year.

Leslie - have never grown dahlias before or gerbera daisies. Great suggestions.

Thanks everyone!
