Great choices! I LOVED Emily, Alone (did you read Wish You Were Here first?) and State of Wonder. The Paris Wife was very good on audio, too. A few others are on my wish list...off to investigate the rest.

I actually read Wish You Were Here after reading Emily Alone. Kinda weird to read out of order but it still worked out alright. O'Nan is one of my favorite writers. Guess he has a new novel out or about to be published. Happy!

Wonderful list ... some I've read and some are on my wish list and others I plan to explore. I just finished The Emperor of All Maladies on audio -- it was exhausting, amazing, informative, comforting and frightening all mixed up into one book.

Couldn't agree more with your assessment of Emperor of All Maladies.

Lots of these are on my wish list, but I haven't read any of them! I should have asked for an extra hour a day for Christmas!
