Cinque Terre, Italy. [click on image to enlarge]
Snapshot taken from the Sentiero Azzurro on vacation in April 2005. Cinque Terre may be the prettiest place I've ever seen.

What a beautiful picture. Those buildings look very precarious but they have the most fabulous view!

Great picture.
My partner was there a few years ago and dearly wants to go back, we're definitely going to some day. It looks beautiful.
Thanks for visiting.

Oh! It's so funny, but as your site was loading, I looked at the house on that cliffside village and wondwered ... 'Positano?!?' I was relieved to see it was somewhere in Italy ... at least my eye for geography wasn't too far off! A little private fantasy of mine is to travel there and sip limoncello on the hottest of afternoons ... must be the movies we've seen over the years! Wink!

Beautiful shot!

I love the way the houses look almost like they're growing out of the cliff face!

That is beautiful! I would imagine it would be quite a steep walk up among the houses.

So gorgeous! I loved our Italy trip but we missed the coast. Just gives us a reason to go back!

Thanks everyone for the really nice comments.

Alyce - you're right about these little cities being steep to walk around. You have to take a train to reach them and then lugging your suitcase to where you're staying is a bit of a workout. But absolutely worth it!
