road tripping

Badlands National Park [click on image to enlarge]
We're heading off to visit Death Valley National Park. It's our first visit despite growing up in California and living back in California for the past eight years. A quick trip this time (one day) but it looks like the weather is going to work out for us. The snow has let up in the Sierra and it's only going to be in the 80s in Death Valley.

Have a wonderful trip. Only 80 degrees, I'm envious. I'm sitting under a blanket, my feet are freezing.

That looks like an incredible view. So jealous! I grew up in Texas in an area that's really flat, so I'm a little obsessed with mountains.

Here's my Saturday Snapshot. Have fun on your trip!

What a gorgeous, serene beast!
Ahh... Death Valley Park, you are reviving memories of my childhood, when our family went there.
Have a great trip!

That is a great photo! I can't believe it's normal to say "only 80." It sounds like the perfect time to go though. Hopefully I'll get a chance someday when it's not scorching hot.

That's a great shot, it almost looks extra-terrestrial.

Just think ... that mountain goat gets those vistas on a day to day ... lucky creature!

I've lived my whole life in California and never been to Death Valley either, so you're not alone! I hope you have a great trip. Bring plenty of water! :)

I'm a native Californian and have yet to visit Death Valley. It's on my bucket list!
