I've never read any of Eggers' work but have lots of good things about it. It is hard to beat a free event!

I really liked A Heart Breaking Work of Staggering Genius and Zeitoun. Didn't like his first film though. Zeitoun's a quick read, if you're interested in giving Eggers a try. I should read What Is The What -- it has been on my to read list forever!

I will never get the spreading of his mother's ashes out of my head. (think that was Heart Breaking Work...)
Talented writer and thinker.

I have this book to read! I hope to get to it before the end of year. Perhaps I should consider flying to Sacramento later this month! I would like to hear Mr. Eggers speak ... he seems like an interesting person.
