a couple of stinkers to avoid

It is the custom on this blog to highlight films that should not be missed (check out the topic/label titled "see this film"). And, usually, since I'm very picky about both films and books, I rarely watch films I dislike unless it's on a plane -- hence my unfortunate encounters with Lady in the Water and Bicentennial Man. Somehow though, the last two DVDs from netflix were duds. They weren't even bad enough to make entertaining picks for bad movie nights. They were mediocre bad. So, here's a heads up from our last two inadvertent bad movie experiences:

Margot at the Wedding - Nicole Kidman, I have only one question. Why?

Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself - I had some dark thoughts myself while watching this movie -- horrible.

I've managed to avoid Woman in The Water but not Bicentennial Man (Gah! I though it would NEVER END!) And, yeah, Margot At The Wedding was pretty awful, too. Thanks for the heads-up on Wilbur . . . the title alone. *ugh*

You'd think airlines would take care to offer films that wouldn't make the flight seem longer than it already is.

Thanks for the heads up... will steer clear of both!

Woman in the Water - looks like me in the gym. Only work out on one side. The strong side!
I do love me some art film, actually.
I thrive on obscure sleepers - cuz I am one, too!
Well, I was - if I had been a film!

Anne - lol! Nothing obscure about you.

I saw Margot. And I cannot remember a thing about it. I guess that says it all.

Thank you for the warning about these. I tend to go off of other people's recommendations when it comes to movies.
