I'm back from my trip to Washington DC with my sister. These photos were taken on our first day near the Washington Monument. It was a gorgeous day.

Lovely! I've always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in DC in the spring!
I love cherry blossoms...in fact, all blossoms. Except that they give me allergies! Alas....
Thanks for visiting my blog.
Very beautiful indeed. Those blossoms are so profuse they look like snow!
Ooh, beautiful. I wish I lived close enough to see for myself!
I just love the cherry blossoms! They're gorgeous!
Unmistakeably Washington D.C. Awesome!
They sure are beautiful. I'm waiting for the flowering trees here to bloom... soon, soon.
I also have always wanted to see the cherry blossoms in DC!
You framed that shot beautifully with the monument in te backgroud!
hey....wait a minute....
blue sky? check.
fluffy clouds? check.
sunshine? check.
gorgeous cherry blossoms? check.
if it weren't for that monument in the background, i'd swear you were here in nagasaki today!!!
I do love me some cherry blossoms....just a question though--do people in DC sit out under the trees in full bloom and have picnics/parties? "hanami" is a BIG thing here in Japan...you should come sometime!!! ;-D
Ah, it's been 35 years since I saw the cherry blossoms. In the past 10 yrs we've gone to DC every other year but never catch the blooms. Must have been gorgeous and inspiring.
Your photos are breath-taking. This is the perfect time to be in Washington, DC!
Debbie - I would love to travel to Japan and it bodes well that my husband has also expressed an interest to do this too. Nagasaki....is mid-April a good time to visit?
Hope you had a great time! Love the cherry blossoms.
